As Vice President and Senior Trust Administrative Officer for West Shore Bank Wealth Management,
Mike Newman is responsible for all aspects of trust and estate administration and fiduciary procedures.
He also serves as a member of West Shore Bank’s Investment, Trust and Administration Committee.
Mike takes pride in using his experience and his thoughtful, analytical approach to find creative, effective solutions that help his clients and their families accomplish their long-term goals. Prior to joining West Shore Bank, Mike served as a trust officer in the private client group of a large regional bank. He also spent fifteen years practicing law in Boston, Massachusetts, where he represented individuals and small businesses in a variety of matters, including contracts and estate planning. He has also served as an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, Florida, where he was a member of the Law Review. He is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Estate Planning Council of the Grand Traverse Area, and as an Emeritus member of the Board at Disability Network of Northern Michigan. Mike also enjoys volunteering for the Child & Family Services Legal Aid Clinic.
